In The Beginning
Throughout her life, she has always been able to connect with the spirit world. As a traditional medium, Marianne helps her clients heal their grief and find peace by communicating messages from the spirits of their loved ones. She has felt the love and the peace from beyond which has given her a great comfort with death.
“Many years ago, I received a call from a client asking me to meet her at the nursing home where her mother had been lingering for weeks. Her mother was no longer conscious, but she was not able to cross over. I was hesitant because I had never gone to the bedside of a dying person before. Normally, I communicate with spirits who have already crossed over. My client heard the hesitation in my voice and begged me. She was sure that I could help her mother, Louise.”
When Marianne arrived at the nursing home and walked into Louise’s room, her eyes opened, she sat up in bed, looked over and said, “Finally you have arrived.” Marianne had never met Louise, yet she seemed to know her. She walked over to Louise’s bedside, held her hand, took a deep sigh and closed her eyes. Marianne assured her that it was okay to leave her sick, tired body. As she looked around her, she could see into the world beyond — and within that vision, she could see souls rejoicing as they awaited Louise’s arrival.
Marianne told her client about the wonders that awaited her mother. She then taught her a meditation that would relax her mother and enable her to gently leave her body. As Marianne’s client started to recite the meditation, the spirit of a young man wearing glasses and a Fedora appeared at the side of the bed. My client confirmed that this was her dad. He had died young in a car accident, and her mother never remarried. He was the love of her life, and she strongly believed that one day they would be together again.
“As I left the room, I knew Louise was on her way home. In my head I knew that death is supposed to be a sad experience, but I could not shake an overwhelming feeling of joy for Louise,” thought Marianne. “I thought deeply of how incredible it would be if everyone could experience this euphoric feeling at the bedside of their loved one, if they could remove themselves from their sadness just long enough to experience the celebration of the transition.”
That day, Louise left Marianne with a gift. A gift of a deeper understanding of death. Her life path as a medium opened, and “Spiritual Dying” was created.
